1956: Marquee in Times Square

Photograph of Marquee in Times Square – The neighborhood would become renowned for go-go bars and peep show establishments until the 1990’s. Under Mayor Giuliani, the City brought in The 42nd street redevelopment project, real estate developers, architects, law enforcement officials, and historic preservationists that would transform the area.
